Public Tour Pricing

Price is $169 per person, plus tax, and includes transportation, tours, tastings, bottled waters and the services of a Certified Bourbon Steward. Cost does not include lunch. PayPal is our payment processor and will accept all major credit cards. You do NOT need to have a PayPal account. Tour group is limited to 12 persons. Our guides work hard to ensure you have a safe and memorable experience, so please consider a gratuity for the outstanding service that we guarantee you will receive (15-20% is customary).

Your tour will depart from Louisville's legendary 
Galt House Hotel.

Our first stop will be at Bluegrass Distillers at Elkwood Farm in Midway, Kentucky.

  • Elkwood Farm and it's old mansion on 62 acres date back to the 1830's
  • Enjoy a full tour of their new state-of-the-art distillery
  • Indulge in the blue corn Bourbons on a guided tasting

The second stop is for lunch at your choice of several local restaurants in the historic town of Midway, Kentucky.

  • Feel free to explore this tiny town with a railroad going straight through it

Our third stop is one of the biggest whiskey producers in the world, the "Disney World of Bourbon," also known as Buffalo Trace Distillery.‍

  • Producing Blanton's, EH Taylor, Weller, Pappy Van Winkle and more
  • Oldest continuously operating distillery in America
  • Explore the distillery grounds, shop at the visitor center, and sip some of their bourbons at your own pace

Finally, we'll take an adventure "down the rabbit hole" at Rabbit Hole Distillery.

Your tour will depart from Louisville's legendary Galt House Hotel.

Our first stop will be Bulleit Distillery in Shelbyville, KY, only a short drive from Louisville.

‍

  • You'll see how Bourbon is made on your tour of the distillery and of course enjoy a tasting of their award winning Bourbons and whiskeys.

‍

Our second stop is Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY, the state's capital. This is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America and produces products such as Blanton's, Weller and Pappy Van Winkle.

  • At your own pace, explore the distillery grounds, shop at the visitor center, enjoy a guided tasting and fill up on delicious BBQ at Firehouse Sandwich Stop.

Our third stop will be for a tour of Godolphin at Gainsborough Farm, a beautiful thoroughbred horse farm in the heart of the Bluegrass.

  • See what life is like for the mares and foals on this stunning piece of property in Versailles, KY. You might get hands-on with these incredible animals!

What to Bring

This is a full-day tour so wear comfortable clothes and shoes (closed-toe shoes are highly recommended). Your tour guide will provide you with complimentary bottled water and plenty of bourbon knowledge. Feel free to bring along any small snacks you wish.

Dress Code

Dress code is whatever you want it to be, but some distilleries may require closed-toe footwear.  And be sure to bring your Kentucky Bourbon Trail® passport along with you.  You’ll want to collect those stamps from the various distilleries.
